Alpha Sigma Alpha
Alpha Sigma Alpha adopted Special Olympics as a philanthropic partner in 1976. The Special Olympics is an international organization dedicated to empowering and strengthening individuals with special needs through physical fitness.

Through creating a healthy, friendly, and competitive environment, participants in the Special Olympics complete feats that inspire and challenge everyone involved. This positive experience helps the confidence of children and adults with special needs and gives them a source of encouragement.
The Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation exists to support the educational, leadership, and philanthropic purposes of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority through charitable giving. The ASA Foundation was founded in 1986, initially as a scholarship-granting body, but over the years it has broadened to support a wide range of educational programs.
Girls on the Run was adopted by Alpha Sigma Alpha in 2012. It is a non-profit organization that aims to empower girls and encourage a healthy lifestyle from a young age.
Girls on the Run is a running program established to train girls from 3rd-8th grade to run a 5k, and along the way, foster a go-getter mentality that lasts a lifetime. . Sisters of Alpha Sigma Alpha volunteer at 5k events, serve as program coaches and raise funds to support the organization.

D.O.T. Days are inspired by the Alpha Sigma Alpha service & giving statement. The first full week of October is set aside for all members across the country to focus on making an impact in their local communities through hands-on service and charitable giving projects.

Members of ASA are encouraged to express care and concern for others through support of national philanthropic partners and local communities. This year, our chapter raised money for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes to raise awareness to men's sexualized violence, as well as other philanthropic efforts.
